Motel 6 San Angelo South

I only booked here because every other hotel was full during the tattoo convention. While getting ready for bed, I noticed three roaches on the bathroom floor near the sink. I called the front desk right away and told the man there what I’d found. He gave me a full refund. It was a bad experience.

The hot water was great, with fantastic pressure, and the staff were friendly. The location wasn’t horrible either. But the room felt beat down, and I’d call the stay only fair. I was there at the last minute because I needed somewhere that didn’t jack up the price for my two dogs. I kept going to the desk about problems: the phone had no cord, the door wouldn’t unlock unless I slammed it first, the TV remote didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi was troublesome. I had no TV for three of the four days. Roaches crawled across the floor, the bedside lights shorted out, and there were holes in the drapes, bedspread, and bathroom door. A huge patch of drywall mud on the bathroom ceiling still needed primer and paint. All those issues made the stay a major pain.

After working all day, we had sleepless nights in a dirty room with a ridiculous number of roaches. There was partying too, which added to the worst hotel stay we’ve had for work. When we asked for help with the bugs, all we got was, “Sorry, we are located to the river.” Super disappointed.

The room was clean, and the night representative at the office was personable and got things done. All good.
