Comfort Inn near Frost Bank Center

The woman at the front desk was kind and friendly, but the room and its overall feel weren’t worth it. The online pictures didn’t match what we got; the room looked nowhere near as clean. We’d booked a nonsmoking room, but it smelled like cigarettes. The toilet took about five tries to flush, and the toilet paper looked shredded once it finally went down. There was mold inside the window and small stains on the beds that looked like ink and red or orange marks. The phone and cord were dirty too. The AC display showed 71 degrees, but it didn’t feel that cool and jumped right back to 77 when it shut off. It was set to “dry,” we couldn’t adjust the temperature, and the “high fan” setting didn’t blow cold air.

I stay here every time I come to San Antonio. It’s clean, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the hot breakfast is great. The beds are comfy too 😌. They have an indoor pool. I recommend this hotel.

The employees are rude, and getting my deposit back took more than 45 minutes. My room was dirty and had roaches. The AC didn’t work in one room, so we switched, but the door in the next room was broken and the key card wouldn’t work. They made us go back and forth more than three times.

Seeing roaches on the wall and in the AC unit put me off completely. I checked out and won’t stay at another Comfort Inn. I know Comfort Inn isn’t the best or the worst, but the night staff made no effort to address it. The morning staff tried, but by then it was too late. I checked in around 10 p.m. on October 23, 2025, and spotted a cockroach crawling on the wall as soon as I entered the room. I told the night shift, but they said there was nothing they could do. The next morning, I mentioned it again at the front desk while getting breakfast.
