Comfort Inn Near Seaworld - Lackland AFB

The location is the one good thing, with plenty of places to eat nearby and SeaWorld close by. I won’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to families or anyone who wants a clean place to sleep. There are hardly any staff around, not even housekeepers, and they’re barely keeping the place up. The rooms are large but not very clean, and the cheap mattresses have coils you can feel. The pool water is ice cold, and there aren’t towels available. There’s no room service unless you stay more than two nights, which they should mention at check-in. The front desk person is often gone, so you may wait over ten minutes. The breakfast lady seemed to hate her job and was very rude. They put out only three food items at a time so people won’t take too much, and I had to ask for more because there wasn’t enough. The coffee was horrible and watered down.

The linens were all stained, and the carpets were filthy. Clean, spotless linens are the least a hotel should provide. We stayed one Thursday night because the hotel was only a few minutes from Sea World. During that one night, seven pickup trucks were broken into. I’d read other reviews saying this happens repeatedly, but thought maybe those were isolated cases. What were the odds it would happen again? It’s sad to see families lose vacation or business time getting their windows fixed. This is an unsafe hotel, and staying here could cost you a vehicle window. I’ll never book it again.

We were in town for my nephew’s Air Force graduation, but I would never recommend this place and won’t return. The customer service was horrible, and there were roaches. They didn’t change our beds for three days, so we made them ourselves. We were told to throw our own garbage away, and weren’t given towels or toilet paper. One sink was clogged, and although I told the front desk, it still wasn’t fixed when I came back. We had to keep asking for towels and toilet paper and got attitude each time. They told us to leave our used towels outside the room, where they sat for two days until I asked them to remove them. Negative 100. I had to give it a star to post.

We checked in for one night to go to SeaWorld. The beds were decent, but the couch was awful and breakfast was okay. The pool was cold, and they were using it for storage. The AC didn’t work well, and the toilet broke the morning we checked out. The shower was filthy, with soap scum and a brown ring in the tub. Boxes, pictures, and a freezer were sitting right in front of the elevator while they were putting things up. It was a waste of money, and they offered nothing for the dirty shower or broken toilet. I’ll never go back.
