Comfort Suites San Antonio Airport North

Check-in was easy and quick, and the man at the desk was polite. We had plenty of free parking, and the hotel is set back a little from the street in a well-lit area where I felt safe walking in. It was in a convenient central spot for our plans. The beds were comfortable, and it was a great stay for the money.

After driving 18 hours, I was refused my room at the front desk. I had confirmation emails from the day before, but they kept saying the reservation was cancelled. When I asked for a manager, first I was told they weren’t available, then that they were on vacation and nobody was on duty. They said I had to contact customer service for a refund, but all I got was AI. I disputed the charge with my bank, but couldn’t get my money back because the hotel had marked the reservation completed. Never again.

I travel to San Antonio for work often and usually choose this hotel because the rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. This visit, though, raised real concerns about the front desk. My coworker checked in to find a toilet that wouldn’t flush. Staff gave him a plunger to deal with it himself instead of fixing it or offering another room. During my check-in, I was told I couldn’t use the company card I’d booked with because my name wasn’t on it. A coworker came with another company card matching his photo ID, but they refused him too because he hadn’t made the booking. I’ve traveled for almost 20 years and never run into this. Things break, but poor communication and customer service aren’t acceptable. I’ll come back and hope this improves.

The room was dark and dank, and the bathroom smelled bad and was gross. The curtains were stained and hung over the AC, which blew moist air, and the sheets had red stains. The next morning, roaches were crawling on the bathroom towels. When I arrived, a man was vomiting in the parking lot, and no one was at the desk inside. The place felt dark and creepy. Absolutely horrific, don’t stay here.
