The room was spacious, with a comfortable mattress, a large TV on an adjustable arm, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. I had a king room at the end of the hall near the stairs, with enough space for a family. The bathroom showed the value-brand shortcomings: soap wouldn’t lather, lotion came out like water, and the broken shower head let water spill out behind it. Towels and washcloths were small and rough, and the linens were underwhelming. The closet laundry bag was tiny, and although the trash cans were empty, their liners had visible stains from previous guests. The building looked newer or well maintained when I arrived around 7 pm, and there was lots of parking with several entrances. Check-in, though, took about 15 minutes, and the clerk’s unenthusiastic manner made me feel like I was a bother. I usually stay at Marriott, so I adjusted my expectations, but this reminded me why I stick with a consistent brand. Small annoyance: I parked on the left for lower room numbers, then realized rooms are numbered right to left. It’s about 15 minutes from JBSA and easy enough to reach once you’re on Rittiman Road. Road construction was the biggest drawback. If your room faces the front, overnight jackhammers, steel work, and heavy equipment could be very noisy. This place cost more than a Marriott about 10 minutes away, so I wouldn’t return. If you have to stay here, I’d bring your own soap, towels or linens, and laundry bag.
