El Tejas Motel

After my shower I noticed black specks on the towels. Looking closer, I saw lice all over them. I told the woman at the front desk, but she said there was nothing she could do and wouldn't refund me. Check your luggage before leaving or you could take extra friends home, and inspect your food unless you want extra protein. And don't expect fresh air.

BWARE, I paid 75 bucks for a dim room and pillows stained with blood. The bedding was in terrible shape, with stains everywhere, and the towels were stained and disgusting too. There weren't enough towels for the three of us. The TV didn't work; the owner spent an hour trying to fix it and still couldn't. I asked him to bring a light since half the room was dark. He said he would, but never did. For 75 bucks, you can find somewhere much better.

It's a good value and the rooms have been updated. They just aren't cleaned well, and need dusting and mopping.

I will say the room was clean, but we still saw quite a few roaches. There was no hot water, no toilet paper, and not even a phone in the room. For what you get, the price isn't great.
