Mission Inn

If you're considering this place, you're probably working with a tight budget and putting price ahead of luxury. With that in mind, it won't disappoint. We got a very good rate, even though we booked just a couple of days before our trip. It's a little far from downtown, but the drive was pleasant with very little traffic. The parking lot was brightly lit, which felt safer, and check-in went smoothly. The woman at the counter was nice and explained everything. Our room was fairly clean, and the bathroom was huge, though it could use updating. The showerhead was clogged with mineral deposits, so the water only trickled at first. After I cleared the deposits, it worked perfectly. For what we paid, it was perfect. This place has earned a permanent spot among my San Antonio lodging options.

I run a carpet cleaning business and regularly work at San Antonio hotels, from expensive luxury places to small family-run motels. I cleaned this hotel's carpet yesterday and was impressed. In my experience, the Mission Inn is very clean for a motel. Its management is meticulous about keeping rooms safe, fresh, and clean for guests.

We chose this place because it was near where we needed to be, but the front desk service was poor. The woman there wasn't very informative or helpful when I asked what kind of room we needed. Roaches were in the restroom, and we were given a smoking room even though we're not smokers. There was no soap or shampoo. It was nearly $100 for a room like that, and we weren't given a receipt. This is the worst place we've stayed. I won't return. I'll go somewhere with better customer service and a better room.

The room was spacious and clean, with a microwave and mini fridge, and we could park right in front of it. The people were really nice, and you can tell they take pride in caring for the hotel. It's a pretty cool place. I'd recommend it, and we'd stay again if we're in the area.
