We stopped here on our way to the border for Christmas. The staff were friendly, and there’s a basic gym, but we don’t plan to return or recommend it. The bathrooms didn’t smell clean, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were either ineffective or drying on our skin and hair. There’s no breakfast service, though a restaurant downstairs serves it, and the quality wasn’t worth the price. The lobby has old-style water fountains, while bottled water in the rooms costs $6. Stay if you need to or if it’s free.

The Riverwalk location was wonderful, and the staff I dealt with were friendly, cheerful, helpful, and considerate. The property itself feels a bit dated and could use a makeover. I’d give it a 4.5 if I could.

It’s easy to reach all the restaurants along St. Mary's and the Riverwalk from here, which was a big plus. The rooms are roomy, the staff are friendly, and the balcony rooms have terrific Riverwalk views. There’s also an onsite Bistro for breakfast and dinner, with a lounge in the evening.

It’s a quiet stretch of the river, which made it nice for sleeping. The cafe was pleasant and the staff were very helpful. Hopefully they’ll add some new things to the river down there.

Right across from the Riverwalk, close enough to toss a stone over, and the location feels safe. Marriott did a terrific job here. There are elegant little details everywhere, even linen hand towels in the restrooms. The rooms are soundproof too, which is such a luxury when you’re away from home. First class all around. Go for it.
