The fridge froze all my food solid, turning everything into a block of ice. I was already putting up with some grime and less-than-ideal cleanliness, figuring I could manage for a few nights, but seeing bugs crawling around ended it for me. I saw at least seven roaches. The place smelled strongly of water and mold, and I needed an air freshener just to stand being there. It felt dirty and poorly maintained, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Look at the pictures and decide whether you want to risk your health. I can’t reply directly to the owners, but this review is in good faith. I’ve no doubt the other rooms are in similar condition. We dealt with the grime for a while, and the bugs only showed up after a few days. I asked for my money back and was refused at first. I had to go through Expedia support to get any kind of refund. The hotel initially said I was out of luck and would have to pay for the rest of my stay. I don’t want a local business to fail, but I do want to describe accurately what happened. If you care about your health, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Everything was tidy and clean, and I thought the price was a great deal. The woman running the place was really kind and helpful. Even though I hadn’t booked online and gave very little notice, she took the time to honor the online rate.

Cold AC is a big plus in Texas, and the hotel is under new management. The team is friendly, and room service has been helpful with whatever I’ve needed. It’s reliable and low-cost, with a fridge and microwave in the room. I love this place, and La Villita Inn will be my first choice whenever I need somewhere for a night. God bless y’all 🤙🏽🙏🏼🫂😎☮️

The AC wasn’t working, and the front desk staff didn’t seem to care once I’d checked in. They also charged me an extra $10 for parking without any reason. I was really disappointed and would strongly suggest avoiding this motel.
