We got locked inside our room because the inside handle was broken. When we called the front desk, the man argued with us and said he’d come in 15 minutes. He then yelled instructions from the doorway about how to open it, and we eventually managed to get out. Our family in the room next door found their room in a mess when they checked in, apparently housekeeping hadn’t cleaned it. We asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere and were told no refund under any circumstances. The service and the place were awful. I don’t recommend it.

The photos on the website seemed edited, and seeing toilets sitting outside under the stairs to the second floor didn’t help. We felt unsafe and were very disappointed. We’d booked this for a birthday trip to a Spurs game with the kids, and requested adjoining rooms, only to learn when we arrived that connecting rooms don’t exist. They also refused to refund us after I was told they had those rooms. Awful experience.

The bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly, and its inside handle came off. They were nice about it and moved us to another room, but that room had other problems too. It shouldn’t have been rented out.

Our room was filthy as soon as we opened the door: the beds were unmade, and there was milk and soda on the dresser. We didn’t go in, but it also had a loose handle. My brothers were in the next room, and their handle came off as soon as they entered, trapping them inside. The man at the office was rude on the phone, said he’d be there in 15 minutes, then came up, tossed his little tool bag down and yelled until they finally got the door open. He told us to come to the office, where he yelled at us again. With kids with us, we didn’t feel safe and asked for a refund so we could find another hotel. He yelled more and locked us out of the main lobby. He refused to refund us, so we had to spend more money on a different place.
