Sleep Inn & Suites at Six Flags

The room looked nothing like the photo, and it was pretty dated, though decent enough. The bathroom had cracked tiles sticking up. Water pressure was good, and I don’t walk barefoot in hotel rooms anyway. We stayed four nights, but our key only worked about half the time. Check-in itself was smooth. The older woman who greeted us was very sweet and smiled. There was a strong Fabulosa smell right at the entrance, but upstairs and in our room it was musty and smelled of cigarettes. Read the reviews before booking.

The rooms were nice and we really liked the location, but the service had some problems. I rang the desk bell twice on separate occasions and waited for someone to come. Nobody did, so I eventually left. That felt very unprofessional. Management also ran out of breakfast early and refused to provide enough for guests who were still arriving during breakfast hours. They should plan better. It would also help to leave out spoons and forks for stirring coffee. And staff shouldn’t unlock a room and walk in before announcing themselves. Knock, say you’re management or housekeeping, and wait for the guests to answer. Just walking in is rude.

Everything in the room worked, and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure and TV were great too. The furniture was dated, and some surfaces could’ve been cleaned better. The mirrors, outside of the fridge, desk, and end tables were only somewhat clean.

Jackie and Ken were really attentive each morning and made sure I had what I needed. The complimentary breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices. The place was clean and cozy, and its location was perfect for exploring the area.
