My child came down with a virus the day before we were due to leave for a stay booked through Sonder. I asked whether we could get a credit and rebook for a later date, but they denied it and kept our money. If you’re worried about illnesses spreading, be aware that Sonder doesn’t offer rescheduling or cancellation for active viral infections, including COVID. That means people may stay at their properties while contagious and potentially spread illness because Sonder wouldn’t cancel or move their bookings.

Two days before check-in, they cancelled my stay and left me scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute, when prices were high and availability was low. The only reason they gave was that they don’t book with people they think might break house rules, even though they hadn’t met or seen me. How can they make assumptions about someone before they’ve even stayed? If they’re worried a guest might be loud or disruptive, why not charge a fee for breaking the rules instead of leaving someone stranded? The employees who answered the phone were no help. They gave me no explanation, basically told me to figure it out myself, then hung up. It was disgusting. If I could give no stars, I would. Don’t book here. They’ll discriminate against you.

Sonder approved my booking, then cancelled it a day and a half before my trip. Their HR team just pointed me to emails they’d sent and made no effort to reconsider. They dropped the reservation without a blink and didn’t help me through the process. Save your family the worry and book somewhere else.

Really comfortable, with plenty of space. It was perfect for our family’s stay for BMT graduation.

Everything was nice and really clean at the place we stayed. We had a great time and would definitely come again!
