Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Francisco San Carlos

I got the quiet room near the exit that I’d asked for, and it had clearly been recently remodeled. The design is clever and practical, especially the flooring transition into the ceramic shower. It’s modern and has what you need, though it isn’t luxury. At check-in, the night auditor was kind and accommodating, and even the people in the lounge were friendly. One gentleman helped with my food purchase and kindly arranged late checkout. The receptionist when I left was just as lovely. I had a fantastic stay at the Fairfield by Marriott in San Carlos and would gladly return. A sensible, high-quality base for business, longer stays, or couples.

I spent two months here temporarily after moving from Houston TX to SFO, and the team made the transition feel like home. Ms Nelly, Ms Juvi, and the rest of the staff were professional, welcoming, and very accommodating, even with my airport shifts that started at 3 AM or later. They were also great with my fur baby Rhella. Breakfast was included daily, from 6am to 8am Monday through Friday and 6am to 9am on Saturday and Sunday. There’s a Starbucks right next door for a quick bite, along with shops and restaurants nearby. The location is close to the airport and San Carlos Airport Museum, which I got to visit during time off. Amenities include a gym, WiFi, and a pool, though it was still too cold for me to use the pool. I’d give it 10 out of 10 for the staff’s hospitality and professionalism and the overall stay. There’s a Starbucks right beside the hotel, plus a restaurant, and it’s easy to get to the freeways. The rooms are nice, and this is standard Marriott fare. It sits right beside the San Carlos airport runway, yes, the runway!

The rooms have been newly renovated and are nice, with a big TV. Staff are great too. It’s not the fanciest hotel, but the value for the price in the valley is hard to beat.
