Bay Club Hotel & Marina

The lobby restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the location is great. I also liked having an underground garage, which felt more secure for the car. My first room had dog hair and a small dog sweater in the bed, so I told the front desk and they moved me. The second room was fine, though the patio door lock didn’t work. I wasn’t too worried since I was on the second floor.

We loved the roomy feel and old-school decor of this charming older property. Our large room had a comfortable bed, a soaking tub, and a huge patio with views of the bay or marina. The location is peaceful and beautiful, right across from the Bay and a lovely walking path. Bali Hai is an easy stroll away, and we could hear seals calling at night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s a good-sized pool and spa with plenty of seating and great views of the marina and city lights. For us, the extra space and location were well worth the dated style.

We loved the marina view from our room and the location for spending time around the Bay. The rooms were clean and looked after daily. Every hotel staff member we met was attentive and friendly, and seemed to enjoy the work. The bar and restaurant service and food were superb. People all around San Diego were friendly, too. We felt welcomed in the community, which was a lovely bonus on our vacation. Many thanks 🙏

The downtown San Diego view from our bay-facing room was hard to beat. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. Great location, and I’d happily stay here again.
