The pool area was large enough for me to walk several laps around it for exercise, and the room was spacious in this modern hotel. Check-in and registration went smoothly for our one-night stay. Sean(? ) African American) at reception, the clerk checking guests out, was especially helpful and customer oriented. He went out of his way for me and deserves recognition for his service. I enjoyed the stay and would return if I’m in the area.

Our room had a small plumbing problem, but they fixed it right away and moved us to a nicer room on a higher floor. The whole exchange took about five minutes, which was incredibly fast. Staff were super friendly, and the hotel is beautiful, with lots of fun things to do inside. I loved the atmosphere throughout. If you're on a budget, you can park free on the street instead of using valet, or pay to self-park. Such a nice getaway, and thanks to the team for keeping everything running smoothly.

The people working here made the best impression. They were warm, attentive, and quick to help, including when I needed to change rooms. My first room had a strong, unpleasant chemical smell, and the replacement was only a little better. The rooms could use attention, and some basics were missing: no bathtub, no luggage rack, and no free water. The coffee maker was awkward to use because there wasn’t an outlet nearby, so I had to move it. Parking can add up if street parking isn’t available, at $49 for valet or $39 to self-park. Chromecast also kept dropping out after about 15 minutes and switching back to cable, which was frustrating when I needed a moment to keep the kids occupied while planning our next outing. The staff did their best to sort things out, but the room quality and amenities need work.

Oscar’s call the next morning changed how I felt about this stay. He remembered how upset I’d been, said he understood why, and had spoken with management about compensation. He explained that a wedding and last-minute bookings had pushed the hotel over capacity. His apology felt sincere, and by the end of the conversation I was apologizing for being tired and crabby, even though the room problem wasn’t Oscar’s fault. We appreciated how it was handled and would recommend the hotel and consider returning. I won’t detail the compensation, but it wasn’t a free night. Oscar really helped turn a bad situation around. The situation started after we arrived exhausted sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight, following a long travel day and a shuttle trip to our rental car. I’d booked a two-queen room directly through Hyatt weeks earlier, entered details for all four of us, and mentioned our late 9 p.m. flight, a quiet room if possible, and late checkout, while understanding those requests weren’t guaranteed. At check-in, we were told no double-queen rooms were available. I explained that we’d booked and paid directly, had four people and tired kids, but was offered only a king with a rollaway. I was visibly upset and ready to cry. The staff initially said they couldn’t otherwise help. There was also a very loud event, and we didn’t know where else to go in an unfamiliar area. When my husband came in from valet, I handed the problem to him because he stays calmer than I do. After about 15 minutes, Oscar found a room that had been “locked” and could fit our family. It was beside the elevator, noisy with the big event underway, and very humid, perhaps why it had been unavailable. I was ready to give the hotel one star, but we needed sleep and it beat trying to find another place so late. I woke after a disturbed night still angry, just as I was about to post that review, when Oscar called.
