Pacific Terrace Hotel

We were right on the boardwalk on the first floor, yet the room stayed remarkably quiet. Restaurants around Pacific Beach were close by, and getting to the beach was easy with the chairs and kids' toys the hotel lends out. They also have bikes, including ones for children. The location was fantastic and the service was outstanding. I'd happily recommend it.

Jasleen was so kind when I realized I'd booked our stay for 2027 instead of 2026. She helped us get an ocean-view room and an early check-in, and we ended up keeping our reservation for next year because we loved the place. From our veranda we could watch a gorgeous sunset, with the pool and ocean in view. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable king bed, refrigerator, microwave, and a nice sitting area. The hotel and pool were well maintained, and everyone on the front desk team made us feel welcome. Thanks, Jasleen!

We could watch the sunset from the patio off our room, and the beach was right there. The hotel lent us chairs, towels, and sand toys for our toddler, which made beach days easier. Our family suite had a fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware, and a dining table, so we could have a quick, quiet meal in the room. The pool was heated, parking was on site, and the rooms had what we needed. Most of all, every staff member we met was friendly and gave us some of the best hotel service we've had. A perfect stay for us, and we'll be back.

We spent eight nights here after doing a lot of research, and were very happy with the choice. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the ventilation worked well without much noise. We had the promised ocean view, and restaurants and bars were an easy walk away. The setting is beautiful and convenient, but it was the friendly, helpful staff who made the place feel like home. If we get back to SD, I can't picture staying anywhere else.
