Quality Inn San Diego Downtown North

The rooms are very clean and orderly, and the management and maintenance staff are very kind. The Quality Inn is housing for veterans. You must be service-connected or disabled. National House people are non-military members. God bless us all. AMEN

For what I paid, it was an okay hotel. The room came with a fridge and microwave, and WiFi and breakfast were free. The AC worked, but there was no remote, so you need to be tall or stand on a chair to adjust it. The desk chair looked like it hadn’t been wiped down, or had some kind of stain. The walls are thin enough that you hear people upstairs flushing or using the sink. There’s no hotel parking, just street parking, with a paid lot across the street. Planes from the airport next door were audible, but that didn’t bother me.

We’d stay here again. The room was clean, the breakfast was really good, and the staff were helpful and very nice. The location worked well too, fairly close to the beach and very near SD Zoo. When we asked for extra bla let's, they brought them over quickly.

No hotel parking is provided, so expect to keep feeding the meters every couple of hours. Aside from that, we found it quaint and cozy. The lobby fountain gives the place a welcoming feel, and the free continental breakfast was a handy extra.
