Residence Inn San Diego Central

The suite was clean, comfortable, and roomy, which was great with several young kids along. We stayed over New Year’s and enjoyed having a fireplace, though it burns wood and we didn’t have any logs, so we couldn’t use it. The kitchen had the basics, but we wished a few more items had been supplied. One concern for families with little children: in the loft, the bed sits against the wall overlooking the living area. A child could climb onto it and try to get over the short wall. We enjoyed our stay overall.

I was there for almost three weeks, and the room cleaning was the best I’ve experienced in all my years of work travel. It was spotless, with so much care and attention to detail that coming back late and exhausted felt like coming home. The staff are unusually friendly and helpful, too. When I arrived with a problem in my room, the front desk handled it quickly and professionally. I told John, the manager, how much I appreciated the team, because I think staff behavior reflects how a place is managed. A hotel is just a building until the people working there bring it to life. I loved the atmosphere and the staff, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in San Diego. Kudos to all of you!

The television selection could be better, with more international channels and options for football fans. I’d also like to see the gym and its equipment upgraded. Otherwise, it was excellent for me. The room was clean, breakfast was good, and parking was right beside it. The hotel staff were warm and very helpful. My wife and I had a wonderful stay here last year.

We rented a two-bedroom loft. The bedroom on the main floor had glass doors that could use better privacy. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was great. The pool was a bit cool, but the hot tub made up for it. All in all, a good place to stay.
