San Diego Marriott La Jolla

Andrew greeted everyone at the M club every day and was always helpful. The food and service there were outstanding. My accommodations were good too, with a great balcony view and kind, helpful staff. There’s a nice heated pool, and the workout room has treadmills and free weights. All in all, an exceptional stay.

The people made the biggest difference during my stay at the San Diego Marriott La Jolla. Each interaction felt warm and personal, from housekeeping and room service to a restaurant staff member sharing local suggestions. The concierge offered tips for nearby golf courses and places to eat, and staff checked in to see if I needed anything. I felt valued throughout, not like just another arrival. My room had a lovely La Jolla view, and coming back to a well-kept space after exploring was relaxing. The hotel's La Jolla location also made it easy to reach premium shopping, notable golf courses, and a range of dining options. At check-in, the front desk team welcomed me, got me sorted quickly, and explained some upgraded perks included with my room. Those upgrades added real comfort and convenience during the trip, beyond just appearances. The staff's friendly, proactive service made the whole trip better. If you're looking for warm, efficient hospitality in a great location, this hotel should be high on your list.

The hotel's lounges and meeting spaces were well maintained and made it easy for our group to gather. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, a good place to relax after long retreat sessions. We especially liked the cozy feel on cool winter evenings, and housekeeping was consistently impressive. We stayed at Marriott La Jolla for a winter retreat and felt welcome and well cared for from the start. The friendly, attentive staff and their professionalism really lifted the stay. La Jolla was a convenient, peaceful base, with beautiful coastal views nearby that we enjoyed exploring in our free time. It was a comfortable, well-organized retreat stay, and we'd happily come back and recommend it to others visiting the area.

Angel and Andrew in the M Club lounge made my week-long stay much better. Every morning, Angel was accommodating and even checked with the chef about gluten-free bread for me. She kept the lounge in good shape even when it was busy and made sure guests had what they needed. Andrew was friendly every evening, patient, and welcoming. Five stars for their service, cleanliness, and the lounge feature. The rooms and decor are extremely dated, and the carpet looked like it was put in during the 70s. The sink outside the bathroom made the room feel like a motel. The M Club was a nice feature, but its food choices were limited and felt like Costco frozen food compared with other Marriotts. The hotel isn't close to tourist sights or scenic spots; the area is mostly residential and business-like. There's a small plaza with 3-5 places to eat within a five-minute walk, and the really nice Westfield UTC mall is about a ten-minute walk.
