The room was spacious, with plenty of storage, a huge bed, a big TV, two couches, and a side table by the window. But there was no proper chair or desk, so working there could be difficult. The mattress felt too soft to me, and the sheets seemed worn and low in cotton density. The bathrobes shown on the Bristol page on Booking.com weren’t in my room. The amenity products smelled really good. Even though the hotel seemed empty, I was put in a room at the back facing the air conditioning machinery, with no view or sunlight. A strong synthetic smell, like glue, rubber, or paint, stayed in the room even with the windows open. It gave me a headache whenever I was inside, though I rarely get headaches. The location was convenient without a car, with lots of bus stops nearby, and I was allowed to check in early. I only saw two or three other guests during my three-day stay. An average hotel.

Joseph at the front desk made our anniversary stay at the Bristol a great experience. He was thoughtful, funny, and so nice, and did everything he could to make the occasion special. Big thanks to Joseph, he’s the best!

The staff were very nice and went out of their way to work around our unusual travel hours. There was a little construction going on, but it was unobtrusive, and we didn’t hear it or feel disturbed. We walked with our luggage to the cruise port, about 15-20 minutes away, and didn’t mind the walk. We took an Uber to and from the airport, which was about 5-8 minutes without traffic.

The lobby espresso was better than what I found at most nearby coffee shops, and everything else about the hotel was fine. The beds, though, were much too short. I’m 5 foot 10 and my feet hung over the end; my coworkers had the same problem. Unless you’re 5 feet tall or shorter, expect that.

Russell and Eric were great with my daughters and me. They got us settled in a very clean, cute room and even made sure my truck was parked somewhere safe. The location is also an easy walk to downtown. There was construction at the front desk, but all the employees were fantastic and the customer service was lovely.
