Hyatt Regency San Francisco

The staff made the stay for us. The valet team were sweethearts, housekeeping were kind and did a fantastic job working around us, and everyone at the on-site restaurant was so sweet and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious every morning, and it was handy having the Market in the lobby when the restaurant was closed. We stayed a few days after coming from the East Coast. The location is great, with a million things to see or do on foot or via affordable rideshares. Driving felt a little intimidating, so we used driverless cars and walked instead. We genuinely enjoyed San Francisco, and the location was a big part of it. It felt safe, secure, and welcoming, and the view from one end of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. This exceeded any Hyatt I’ve stayed in.

We stayed in August 2025 and already know we’ll come back next time. The queen room was luxurious and very clean, with bedside tables on both sides and outlets everywhere, which was great for me as a CPAP user. Housekeeping tidied up and restocked the coffee every day. The hotel is thoughtfully laid out, in an unbeatable, very walkable location, and felt very safe. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s truly great.

We stayed five nights while my wife attended a conference in San Francisco. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, the room was nice, the location was great, and most staff interactions were pleasant. But a credit card security concern put a major damper on what otherwise could have been a great stay. At check-in, the front desk agent asked for my card and ID even though the room was booked under my wife’s name. The next day, I spotted a fraudulent charge of over $380 at a different hotel chain through an online booking system. After looking into it with my bank, the only place my card had been physically handled was this hotel at check-in. I can’t say for certain what happened, but the timing and circumstances were extremely troubling. We’d never had anything like this happen before. I strongly encourage management to review front desk procedures and security practices so guests’ financial details are properly protected. People should be able to trust that their personal and payment information is safe.

We upgraded to a suite with a wonderful view of the Ferry Building and Bay Bridge, and the extra space had my kids excited. The room was clean and well appointed, with a nice patio. We’d arrived early hoping to leave our bags, but were pleasantly surprised to find a room ready for our family. The front desk clerk was kind and helpful. The hotel is lovely, with a comfortable lobby area and room to sit. The location was perfect, just a quick walk to the Ferry Building and a cable car right outside the exit. We chose to Waymo, which was fun, and also enjoyed walking to Union Square. The valet was quick and easy, and worth the extra cost for the peace of mind that our vehicle was secure. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. We loved our one-night stay and look forward to coming back.
