Alura Inn

I’m a fairly new client, but the customer service over the past couple of months has been nothing but the best. They always find a way to accommodate me. The rooms have consistently been clean and smell great. Thanks to everyone at Alura.

For $67 a night with a $50 deposit, I can’t complain too much about the dated room. Everything looks like it’s from the 80s, and some things don’t work. I couldn’t get hot water when I tried to shower. You get what you pay for. I only used the room to sleep, since that’s pretty much what it’s meant for: a roof and a bed. Oh well, one night is one night.

All in all, I felt I got excellent value. The place is a bit of a dump and the room showed its age, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room itself: a nice bed, fridge, microwave, and modern shower. I felt quite safe. The staff were very nice, especially the young woman at the front desk who let me check in at 1:30 pm, 90 minutes early. Housekeeping was super nice too. The adjacent Mexican restaurant was good, though a bit overpriced.

The manager contacted me to warn that pets weren’t allowed when I had my service dogs with me. Once I explained they were friendly service animals, he understood and kindly asked me to come to the office to review and sign the pet documents. I was welcomed warmly, the process was quick and easy, and my family and service animals were welcome after signing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay and outstanding service. We’ll stay again and tell others what a good experience we had.
