Pavilion Inn

It’s a decent deal for the money, especially if you want an inexpensive stay in San Jose with a train line to downtown a short walk away. A free Lyft to the airport was a nice extra. The rooms are nothing special, but clean and not bad. The pool and hot tub area looked nice, though it was too cold to use during my visit. A lot of the gym equipment was broken. You’re mainly choosing this place for the price, and for that, it’s relatively good value.

The staff were polite and helpful, and everything felt looked after rather than worn out or cheap. My room was clean and quiet, with recently updated furniture and fixtures. No complaints after two nights.

The staff were professional and friendly, and the location worked well for us, with easy freeway access and convenient to where we needed to go. The rooms, bathrooms, and linens were very clean. We also liked that there was no cleaning service during our stay. We had plenty of towels for five nights and could exchange them at the front desk if we wanted fresh ones. The beds were firm but comfortable. Even though the property is next to the freeway, the rooms were fairly quiet apart from some noisy neighbors. Our refrigerator wasn’t cold enough even on the highest setting, and there’s no freezer compartment. Neighbors were noisy in the middle of the night on three of our five nights. It was a complicated situation, but the manager was apologetic and accommodating. She deliberately left the rooms beside us empty for our last two nights.

The rooms were comfortable and had several amenities, and the next morning they provided breakfast. Parking was free, which was a big help with two kids who are always hungry. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the service was excellent. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we drove up, so the stay was a pleasant surprise. We’d definitely visit again.
