Signature Inn San Jose

San Jose is a great city with plenty going on, but I'd tell people to stay somewhere else. I was traveling alone after meetings and felt uneasy in the area at night. The room was grimy, and the staff came across as rude and condescending. Breakfast and other items shown on the amenities list weren't provided, so I felt misled. I wouldn't recommend this place to solo travelers or families.

The planes pass right over the hotel, and they started flying between 6 and 6:30 each morning. It's under the San Jose Airport flight path, so bring earplugs if that might bother you. The room was clean and refreshed. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful, but breakfast wasn't really breakfast. Bring your own food, and toiletries too. The toiletries provided were just what you see in the picture.

We booked a room for five hours while in San Jose for an event, hoping to get some sleep. At checkout, they said the $100 deposit would be returned to my bank within 1-3 business days. A couple of days later it still hadn't come back, so I called. They said the room had been left in horrible, damaged condition, which simply wasn't true. They told me I would have to come in and discuss it face to face if I wanted to dispute the charge. That isn't realistic, and the staff were rude and unprofessional. I lost $100 and don't trust this place. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I had to cut my work stay short because of unexpected circumstances, and they were really accommodating about the early departure. The room was clean and would've been comfortable for a full week. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and I'll stay here again when I'm in the area.
