Santa Clara Inn

They serve breakfast for free in the morning. The room was nice, with a comfy bed, big TV, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee. A nice place down to the details.

The breakfast was solid and the rooms were clean enough, but the noise made this a bad stay. The walls are paper thin, footsteps upstairs creak loudly, and passing cars woke us up. Construction workers stayed there the whole five nights we were there. Their huge trucks took up several parking spots, and in the evenings they hung out in the lot, playing loud music and talking so loudly it sounded like they were in our room. We wouldn’t return to this location.

The room was fine apart from the washbasin being outside the bathroom. Breakfast, though, was awful. They started removing several items 30 minutes before it was supposed to end, and the staff were quite rude when I asked about it. For the price, I didn’t expect breakfast quality and service to be so poor.

This was my third business stay here in the past year with loud construction workers around, and I won’t recommend the hotel to anyone, including women traveling alone, families, or older people. They stay for long periods, bring large trucks that take up space, and gather in the halls and parking lot to talk loudly and drink beer. At 10pm, I politely asked one man to lower his voice. He was rude and seemed to be trying to provoke me into making a scene. I didn’t take the bait and called the front desk instead. All they could do was say they’d talk to them.
