This was awful, and I wouldn’t stay here again. There was blood on the door and light switch, leftover food in the microwave, dust and grime, a broken toilet paper holder, a broken lock, and a heater that didn’t work. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, maybe months. We put a sleeping bag and blanket on the bed just to sit down because we hadn’t even touched the sheets. When we asked to move, the clerk said we’d been in the room too long, even though we’d only gone to get food and then tried to settle in and clean up. After we opened the microwave, that was the last straw. The clerk came into the room, but from across the way we could see he didn’t even open it to check, he was focused on the sheets. There were homeless people lined up at the back of the building, so we couldn’t leave the bathroom window open. After this, we drove 700 miles straight home to avoid ending up in a dump like this again. It wasn’t worth $106, or even $30.

I booked this at the last minute and was a little unsure at first, but it turned out fine. The room was clean, I could pay cash without a credit card, and they didn’t charge me the $200 deposit. That was a nice plus.

I won’t be coming back. I’d gone the day before at 3 am without calling and the guy gave me a room, but on Tuesday morning at the same time the office was closed. I called and he said they opened at 7. When I went again for a room, he said I’d smoked in the room, which I wasn’t supposed to do, and wanted a $50 deposit. I said okay, apologized, and agreed to the deposit. The total was $170. My debit card was declined twice, even after I showed him my bank balance. I offered to pay half with another card and the rest in cash, but then he wanted $170 for the room plus the $50 deposit. I left and asked if he’d cancel the transaction. He said yes, but now I see a $91.37 charge on my account and don’t know why he charged me, including the extra $1.37.

The rooms are nice for what they cost, and the prices are good. The people were friendly and understanding.

The service was horrible. We weren’t told about the $100 deposit until after we’d reserved and paid for the room. The microwave was broken, mud was coming up through cracks in the floor, and the water wouldn’t get hot.
