I used to stay here and really liked it, so I was thinking of booking again in 2026. Then I found out it had been converted into a shelter and wasn’t a hotel anymore. That’s why I gave it one star. When it was operating as a hotel, I would have rated it five.

I liked the hotel, so I’m sorry to have to say this, but the billing seems deceptive. I stayed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at an agreed nightly rate. After I got home and received the receipt by email, I saw they’d added $100 to Sunday’s stay without notifying me. Sundays are usually cheaper wherever you stay, too. I’ve emailed and called to try to sort it out, but haven’t received any response. I have little regard for business practices like this.

The location is a real plus, central but quiet, and the service was very nice from the front desk to housekeeping and breakfast. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though the room itself felt a little tired and could use a facelift. I noticed work being done, so I’m guessing that’s happening.

The Bristol Hotel has huge rooms, with foyers, living areas, and enormous Italian marble bathrooms. It feels like a European-style boutique hotel, nothing like a cookie-cutter Silicon Valley place, and it’s full of marble statues, crystal chandeliers, and antique furniture. Breakfast is free and has pancakes, waffles, omelets, fruit, cereal, and plenty more. The staff were really nice, and parking is free. I paid just over $100 for a King room, though prices vary by date. I loved the place and can’t say enough good things about it. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was set up really nicely and tasted excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful, our room was very clean, and the customer service was great. Raul deserves a special thank-you for making the stay so delightful. We’ll definitely be back soon 😀
