I paid upfront for seven nights, but the day after I checked in Jason called to say “paying guests” were complaining about my dog. The hotel says it doesn’t allow dogs, yet dogs were staying in several other rooms. Jason threatened to contact an animal agency to have my dog removed and told me to gather my things and relocate. I would have to wait 5-7 business days for my payment to be refunded, leaving me without the money or a place to stay. I felt singled out, and I believe I would have been treated differently if I were white. I left because I didn’t feel safe after being told staff might enter my room and remove my dog. I was a paying guest with two children, and the way they handled this was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I’d never recommend this hotel. Jason was the front desk agent, and I didn’t catch the GM’s name.

We brought our own blankets and pillows, thankfully, because there was no way we were using the ones in the room. It was dirty enough that we couldn’t wait to leave after our Friday-to-Saturday night. A lighter sat on the nightstand, a shower cap was covering the smoke detector, and there was mold in the shower. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly before we checked in. We skipped breakfast because we just wanted out. For what they charge per night, the room should be spotless, not somewhere you feel you have to disinfect yourself. The condition and cleanliness were unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay here again.

Breakfast was a nice surprise, with warm eggs and sausage alongside the continental options. The lobby felt welcoming and relaxing, with a tasteful modern look. In the room, there was plenty of space and a cozy bed that gave me a great night’s sleep. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and having a fridge and microwave made snacks easy to store and prepare. The towels were thick and plush, a welcome change from the thin, rough ones you often get elsewhere. A wonderful stay with thoughtful amenities.

The service and free breakfast were decent, but the smell in the hallways was pretty bad and the room had a weird odor too. Most of the furniture is outdated, except in the bathroom. I can’t say I was disappointed or impressed. There are better options.

The staff were friendly, the room was nice and well cared for, and the shower got properly hot. It was a much better place than the other nearby hotels I saw. I skipped the free breakfast this time, but I’ll try it on my next stay.
