The staff were the highlight, warm and helpful throughout. After I left something valuable in the room following checkout, they went out of their way to get it back to me. We also loved the courtyard, where you can sit outside, and the free guest parking. Our one-night stay at the Petit Soleil was great. We were greeted with complimentary wine and a charcuterie plate that was better than what you’d usually get elsewhere. The room was nicely furnished, and the shower felt especially good after a long drive. It seems like a lovely base for spending a couple of nights exploring SLO.

Dante and Raven made our stay outstanding. I know there were other staff members we haven’t mentioned, but those two took great care of us. The room was cute and quaint, just what I’d hope for at a boutique place, and the breakfast was wonderful. My wife is still talking about the croissants. We’ll stay here again on our next trip through Central California. And next time, I’ll bring some good wine!

We ended up here by accident after getting lost on the way from the Bay Area to LA, and it turned out to be one of the three most charming boutique hotels I’ve stayed in. I’ve traveled and stayed in places in Europe, Canada, and Asia. The owner seems to love France, judging by the facade and the French winery feel. The spacious King Suite was lovely, and the courtyard was relaxing and easy on the eyes. I think there were lemon trees around it too. They serve a complimentary apéritif before dinner, which was a nice extra; I left the staff a tip through the QR code. Breakfast was good as well: you pick a special dish and also get a continental spread in the café. There’s a Medixan restaurant next door, though we didn’t get to try it. Would I come back? Absolutely, 100%.

We could walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants, and having free parking made that especially convenient. The place was clean and quiet, with a warm front desk team. The breakfast was included and was fantastic: we had AMAZING croissants and quiche, plus coffee and tea. There were also snacks in the lobby. We missed the hors d’oeuvres hour, but it seemed like it would be as good as breakfast. My partner and I loved the room and its French boutique decor. It was beautiful and had everything we needed, including a white noise machine, mini bar, lots of outlets by the beds, a roomy shower, and a super comfortable bed. We’re glad we chose this bed and breakfast for our trip to SLO, and we’ll be back next time we’re in town.

Breakfast was delicious and the service was so welcoming. The quiche is worth trying. I also appreciated how well the room used its space: the open closet kept our luggage tucked away, and the bathroom had liquid hand soap, good toilet paper, and a strong shower. There’s free parking on site too. We stayed at four hotels during a weeklong coast trip, and this was easily our favorite. The room was gorgeous, spotless, and had a comfortable bed. It’s right in town, so we could walk to meals and shops. They usually have a cocktail minibar set up for purchase, but I told them I’m an alcoholic and asked for it to be removed before we arrived. They kindly agreed and left just the sodas and snacks. The snacks came from local businesses, including the chocolatier next door and a local beef jerky shop. We only stayed one night and wished it had been longer. We plan to stay here again whenever we visit SLO.
