NYLO Las Colinas Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

That shower was great, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s about a ten minute drive to the airport, and I’d recommend the place. The industrial look is really well done. The bed was much too soft for me, and the pillows flattened out quickly. The room seemed really cool until I realized it had no refrigerator.

Our company holiday party at NYLO Las Colinas went smoothly, and Kacey made the planning process easy and enjoyable. She was responsive, paid close attention to details, and cared about making the event come together. On the day, room captains Eddie and Vilma were warm, attentive, and professional. They took great care of our guests and let us enjoy the evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. I’d highly recommend NYLO Las Colinas for corporate or special events.

The rooms aren’t loaded with amenities. The one I stayed in felt somewhere between a Spark and a Hampton Inn, and the hotel seems to encourage people to socialize downstairs instead of staying holed up in their rooms. Still, it feels more upscale than the price suggests, with good food, a great bar, a restaurant, and outdoor pool and lounge space. Hilton perks apply. The “industrial-chic” look is great and reminded me of places in Europe. It’s different from copy-and-paste brands like Homewood or Doubletree, though I like those too. It seems like a great staycation spot.

The downstairs bar and pool area are nice, and the rooms were decently clean. The breakfast buffet was sub-par at best. I found a strange smell from the bathroom sink, and there are no refrigerators in the rooms, which the front desk confirmed they don’t offer. The ice maker on the 4th floor didn’t work, so I had to go to the 2nd floor for ice. There are only 2 electric vehicle charging stations outside, even though power is run for 3. It’s about what you’d expect from a 3 star hotel.
