Lakehouse Resort

We loved the location and the beautiful views of the lake, but I wouldn't return to Lakehouse “Resort”. The walls are very thin. On the first night, the TV next door came on full blast at 2:30AM; I heard someone knock around 6:30AM, and shortly after that the TV went off. It was not a restful night. We had a long day the next day and asked for room service when we checked in, then put the door sign out too. We were assured we didn't need a special request and would get service. But when we got back around 8:30PM, the trash bins were full, towels were on the bathroom floor, and there were no replenishments of complimentary water or coffee, soap, or shampoo. That was very disappointing. Definitely not resort quality.

Our wedding reception and cocktail hour were near the golf course and Brickman’s restaurant, and the entire team did a PHENOMENAL job. The chefs, bartenders, servers, planners, and everyone else were professional, timely, kind, considerate, great at communicating, and worked incredibly hard to make the day a success. The food was especially good. Several guests said they were shocked by how delicious it was. David (my husband) and I were busy hosting and didn't get to enjoy the meal as much as we'd hoped; what we did have was spectacular, and we regretted not asking for a to-go plate. I also requested a special Christmas-themed bridal cocktail that wasn't on the menu, and they were happy to make it. It was delicious. Nicole, the site’s wedding coordinator, deserves a special shout-out. She was fabulous from booking through the end of the event: friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and focused on making the day wonderful. She led the way, and we didn't have a single snafu or problem all night. Since we went during the Christmas season, the property had its “Winter Wonderland” setup, which my family loved, especially my younger nieces and nephews. David and I, along with some family, stayed in the cabins for several days before and after the wedding. The hotel staff were just as lovely and made the visit relaxing and fun. My husband and I had our wedding at the Lakehouse Resort this past December, and we couldn't say enough good things about it. We loved having our reception there and know you will too!

We have stayed at the Lakehouse Resort 5th+ times, and somehow each visit gets better. The warm, attentive staff are amazing and so accommodating, and they make every arrival feel special. The lake activities make for a fun, relaxing getaway, and we love the beautiful pools, great restaurants, and unmatched vibe. It works just as well for a couple as it does for a group of friends. Colie, the manager, always goes above and beyond, and that care makes a real difference. I've brought many friends here over the years, and every one has been impressed. It feels like a hidden gem, and I hope it stays that way. We'll absolutely keep coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was an absolutely wonderful experience, with clean rooms, lots of amenities and things to do, and a fantastic on-site restaurant. The area felt very safe, and it was amazing value.
