Marquetta was so friendly and helpful. She handled my room issue with a smile and didn't make me feel bad for complaining. The door to my first room wouldn't lock at all, just pushed open, because the lock was broken and they hadn't known about it. She quickly moved me. I had first been put in a smoking room by mistake and didn't realize until I walked in. I'm not a smoker and the smell was overwhelming, but it was very late, so I toughed it out. Marquetta corrected that too. Thank you, Marquetta! Five stars for her.

The room smelled, and the floors, walls, and door frames were filthy. I used the washcloth to clean the floor, as you can see, and it's just disgusting. When I complained, the desk clerk seemed completely unbothered.

Our family comes here every August for an event in nearby Wrightsville, Ga. There have been bug and room problems in past years, but this year the updates made the stay much better. We were thinking about trying another hotel, but stayed here and are glad we did. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and quick to address the few issues we had. The recent room improvements look like an effort to make things better.

That was just my first five minutes after pulling into the lot. The room door was propped open when I got there, and inside I found unmade beds, tarps, construction gear including drills and dollies, boxes, and bags of stuff. The room also smelled like freshly smoked pot. The first thing I noticed on arrival was the “seasonal swimming pool.” Its tarp was moldy and covered in brown water. Vines and shrubs had completely covered the pool gate, making it obvious it hadn't been used in years.
