Holiday Inn Express Richmond Airport by IHG

The room hadn't been cleaned when I sent my grandson in, even though we'd already checked in. I understand housekeeping may have missed it, but the man at the front desk was rude and obnoxious when I raised the issue. This was one of the worst places I nearly stayed, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was quiet at night, and I slept well without hearing the neighbors. The king lounge room had a lot packed in: mini fridge, microwave, TV by the bed, coffee maker, safe, closet, vanity mirror, adjustable shower head, good lighting, privacy curtain, desk and chaise, luggage space, and dresser. The beds were comfy, the shower ran hot, and the AC got nice and cold. Everything was very clean, with no bugs or hair, and I even checked the AC lint vents. They were spotless. Cleaning staff were always around, and the front desk was understanding and helpful. Check-in was quick, breakfast was hot and plentiful, and the lobby also has coffee. There are a treadmill, bike, and elliptical, and it's close to the airport, convenience stores, restaurants, and gas stations. I liked the DOVE bathroom products instead of the little cheap bottles, and they even folded the toilet paper into bows. The only drawbacks were the closed pool and some odd carpet stains. The good far outweighed those, and it was an easy choice. Thanks for a great stay :)

Don't stay here. The place is old and everything seemed broken. The toilets wouldn't flush, and the front desk never came to fix them. The shades were broken too, and the staff had no idea what to do. The internet didn't work, and even the bedside table phone for calling the desk was out of order. Try the Doubletree next door instead.

We stay in hotels all over the country, and Shannon and Sherry deserve a special mention. They were super helpful and gave us A+ customer service.
