Hampton Inn Salt Lake City/Sandy

We left with our things after management eventually called, since nothing changed. We'd been stuck in the area because of a Northeast snowstorm and had booked two rooms for one night. At check-in I told the employee I needed both rooms for two more nights. He said it was fine and that I should come back to the desk in the morning to extend them. The next morning, the front desk said only one room could be extended, and only for one night. They didn't help us find another hotel. I wouldn't have checked in if I'd known we couldn't extend. The desk couldn't answer my questions and said we'd have to wait for management to call, which ate into our plans for the day.

We booked eight rooms for one night for a family Christmas party and held the party in their conference room. The kids loved the breakfast the next morning, and the family enjoyed the pool. The rooms were spacious and looked after, and the staff were incredible. Great location too. I'd highly recommend it.

My business trip unexpectedly ran longer, and the hotel staff were thoughtful and accommodating as plans changed. The breakfast area stayed neat, clean, and well stocked. The women working there put in a lot of effort to make it a pleasant place for the complimentary breakfast, always with grace and a smile. They deserve a lot of credit.

The room was clean, which was a plus, though the bathroom floor wasn't. The shower faucet dripped all night, and I mentioned it to the hotel at checkout. The pool card reader wasn't working, so having to get a staff member to open the pool was a little annoying. Anna May was great, as were all the staff we met. We've stayed at hotels in Ft Collins, Denver, and Idaho Falls this fall, and this place was far and away the best.
