Anchor Inn and Cottages

Beautifully redone rooms, with thoughtful decor and really comfortable beds. Everything was spotless, the location worked well, and the island price felt reasonable. The staff were great too. We just stayed and would happily come back.

The free bikes, helmets, and beach chairs were such a nice extra, and the small pool area had plenty of places to sit. There are hammocks and a shell-washing station too, plus a convenience store and liquor store just a block away. Inside, the refurbished rooms have high-end furnishings, a small cooktop, and a retro-style mini fridge with freezer. We found the bed comfortable and the AC cold. A knife would have helped with limes for our beer, but we managed. The old Florida inn has that charming 1950s roadside look outside, while the full renovation inside really surprised us. We'll return.

We had an amazing stay this week. The remodeled room was lovely, carefully decorated, and had a full kitchen; the outdoor area was gorgeous as well. From what I can tell, the negative Google reviews refer to the old management before the remodel. I can't recommend this place enough.

I spent a week enjoying island life here, and mostly got around on the bikes after parking my car. Anchor Inn is back after the hurricane damage, with a remodel that looks even better than before and all the amenities. It sits in the heart of Sanibel Island and makes a perfect vacation spot. Such a beautiful place.
