My dad and his wife had to stay here once because they had their dog with them, so I got an extra room. Mine was at the back of the building with hardly any windows. It was so dirty and smelled so bad that I started coughing as soon as I walked in. I ended up driving back and forth from my house to see my dad. While he was there, people on the deck were making a lot of noise and getting drunk. The hallway floors were dirty, and the outside looked like an old dump or a yucky storage building. I would not recommend staying here at all. If you need an affordable pet-friendly motel, I’d look somewhere else.

We were on the road first thing the next morning after spending just a little of our afternoon and evening checking out SB. We’d been traveling all day, so this place did the trick. It was a pretty decent price, and seems like a good option if you plan to spend most of your time sightseeing. There may have been juice and small breakfast items, though I’m not sure they were available very early. That was fine, since discovering French Press was amazing.

Don’t stay here unless you’re desperate. My room looked like it was meant for the office clerk to live in. There was a full-size fridge with tapioca inside, no closet, and a door with a window into the office, plus another door leading who knows where. There were dog scratches, peeling paint, and dirt.

My father built this in the 1950s, when it was a highly rated Travel Lodge. It’s been in a state of remodeling since 2000. Crappy place.
