West Beach Inn, a Coast Hotel

The rooms were very clean and opened onto private patios, and the beds were comfortable. It's an older place, but cozy, with a pool and hot whirlpool. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the continental breakfast had a good variety. You're close to both downtown and the beach. The only issue for me was the bathroom fan, which barely ventilated the room. 😎

We first stayed here in 2023, just after getting married, and loved it enough to return for our third anniversary. We had another wonderful visit, even with the rain, thunder, and lightning. West Beach Inn made the trip a lot of fun. The view is breathtaking, the jacuzzi feels great, and everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. Patricia was especially lovely and helpful, thank you! I also appreciate that the jacuzzi stays open until 11pm and that there's a washer and dryer on site for longer stays. We're already looking forward to coming back for our fourth anniversary next year. Can't wait! 10/10, highly recommend, book it!

We've stayed here three times now and really like it. We always choose a top-floor room facing the Harbor. The rooms are nice and a good size, the front desk staff are nice, and coffee is available around the clock. There's a big pool and hot tub, and the prices are decent. You can walk to plenty of good food, Stearns wharf is just down the street, and the beach is across the street.

We booked four nights over Thanksgiving break and loved the experience. The views are great, the neighborhood is really nice, and most things are an easy walk away. West Beach is across from the hotel, the wharf is a few minutes on foot, the harbour is right across the street, and downtown takes about 25 minutes to walk to. Santa Barbara itself is amazing, with so much to see and enjoy. The rooms are pretty small: you open the door and you're basically at the bed, and the bathroom barely has space for everything. The old-style heater works, then suddenly stops. There's a microwave in the rooms too, but you have to ask the receptionist to heat something up. The continental breakfast was a bit too bland for me. The evening happy hour, though, with wine, cheese, grapes, and cookies was really good. It's expensive on a holiday weekend, but I felt the views and walkable location made it worth the money.
