The location near Six Flags was really convenient, about 10 minutes from the Magic Mountain park. The room was clean and functional, with a mini fridge and microwave, and the beds were comfortable. I even had a view of the park. The lobby was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were kind at check-in. I took off a star for breakfast. It was handy, and I appreciated having eggs each morning, but the main dish was the same all three days. The fruit didn’t seem very fresh and didn’t taste good. Coffee was good, though I wish coffee, water, or juice were available all day. I’d visit again for the clean rooms and common areas and the convenient location.
I’ve stayed here before, but this was the worst hotel experience of my life. On the first day, our room was booked for three people, but there were only towels for two. When we asked for more, staff said the hotel was full, the towels hadn’t been washed, and none were available. I’ve never known a hotel, especially one under the Hilton brand, to be unable to provide basic bath towels. The next day, we told the front desk and housekeeping separately that our room needed cleaning. Both said it would be handled, but when we returned that evening, nothing had been done. On day three we asked both departments again to service the room. It still wasn’t cleaned, and even basic items like body wash were missing. After the previous day, these repeated failures felt intentional rather than accidental. Breakfast was advertised until 9:00 AM, but when we arrived at 8:45 AM on the third day, nearly everything was gone and nothing seemed to be getting refilled. Other guests said the food had been out since 8:30 AM. There wasn’t any milk, even for coffee. This stay showed a complete lack of basic service, accountability, and care for guests. Requests were acknowledged and then ignored; problems were excused instead of resolved, with no ownership or urgency. This felt like more than one bad incident, it felt like a culture of indifference. Management should reconsider whether they belong in hospitality, and Hilton should urgently review its association with this location, which reflects badly on the standards the brand claims to uphold. I’m not usually a harsh reviewer, but this was a new low and far below what I’d expect from a Hilton-branded hotel.
We had a really nice stay from Thursday to Sunday, and I’d come back if we’re in the area again. The rooms were clean and well kept, and everyone I dealt with was friendly. Even staff passing in the hall said hello, and the front desk were kind. Breakfast was a big plus, with eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, waffles, fruit, and a wide selection. They even had tacos on the weekend for making little breakfast tacos. The only thing we didn’t like was the bed. It was insanely stiff and hard to sleep on, though that may just be our preference.
I never wanted to leave. This is one of my favorite hotels and one of the nicest in Santa Clarita. I accidentally booked an ADA room the first time and was surprised by how enormous and comfortable it was. The window looked toward Magic Mountain. If you’re here with kids, I’d ask for a room facing the amusement park. On my second stay I had a standard double, quite a bit smaller but still comfortable. Breakfast is substantial: eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, breakfast tacos, lots of fruit, and a big selection of muffins and more. The breakfast room is a large event space with tall windows and long tables, plus a jumbo TV. There’s a rolling bar with beer taps off to the side that can be used for special events. Out back are two fire pits, lots of outdoor couches with heat lamps, an AstroTurf area for wooden bean bag toss games, a pool, and a very large BBQ grill. A construction crew from the Carolinas and Florida was staying there during my visit and held a few evening get-togethers on the patio, making good use of the space. Each room has a fridge and microwave, and the outlets can take USB charging cords. You’ll need a car, since there’s nothing within walking distance except the assisted living center next door. The hotel is along Newhall Ranch road, where it’s mostly land. Magic Mountain is nearby, but not walkable. Down the road there’s a strip mall with Smart and Final, a Dollar Tree, and the Walmart Supercenter of Valencia. I think the security deposit was $100. Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites share this building, and prices vary a lot, likely based on crowds or occupancy. I paid as little as $99 a night, but I’ve seen rates from $160 to $180 and in between. There’s another comfortable Hampton Inn near Stevenson Ranch, but I prefer this location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms were clean, smelled good, and had a fridge and microwave. Breakfast each day was good. There’s no shuttle to Six Flags, though. We were there for two days and asked for an extra floor towel and bath towel since there were three of us and only two towels in the room. Each time, getting extras seemed to bring an excuse or hesitation. It felt like an unnecessary response to a simple request.
