The rooms were clean and lovely, and breakfast was just right. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Jessie and Josh made us feel so welcome. It’s clear the owners are putting a lot of effort into restoring the property. We run a business too, so we know how much work it takes to look after a place. Thanks again for a peaceful country break.

The owners were on site and very nice. The campground was quiet, with full hookups, fire pits, and tables. Most spaces are pull-through, and even with my 41’ fifth wheel, I could get around easily. The layout has a good flow.

My room was clean, really comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The grounds are lovely, though they need some attention. This historic place has charm and character, but there’s a ton of updating and restoration to do. I admire the new women owners for taking on the challenge of bringing this gem back to life. Ellerbe is a tiny town and the location feels like the middle of nowhere, though the rural countryside nearby is worth exploring.

Getting there takes you off the beaten path, but the quiet night made it worth it. I arrived after midnight, and the woman who checked me in was so sweet. The old historic rooming house, as it looked to me, was very neat, and our room felt inviting. I slept so well I didn't want to get up. Breakfast downstairs had coffee, juice, cereal, and breads.

I felt like I’d stepped into another world, one with its own story. The place was peaceful and interesting, with plenty of spots to read, play cards or board games, and even a pool table. The historic building is old, but the rooms are newer, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. Huge old windows look out over the pastoral scene. My bed was extra comfortable and luxurious, and the updated bathroom had a great hot shower. The owner was lovely and made the whole stay easy. Outdoor cats live on the wrap-around porch and are sweet to pet, but there were no cats or cat hair inside. I have allergies, and nothing was triggered, thanks in part to the mostly wood floors. The secluded Southern Bed and Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The inn and its spring and pastoral grounds are nowhere near the camp, though I understand RV stays are possible too. A restaurant and tennis courts are in the works, and I can’t wait to try them next time. Continental breakfast and Netflix were included.
