Ocean Echo Inn and Beach Cottages

Pelican cottage was just right for my mom, daughter, and me. We had an ocean view, a private bedroom, and a comfortable sofa bed. The room was clean and quiet, and there was a nice little breakfast. We could easily walk to a beautiful beach. We also went to Felton for the steam train ride and walked among the redwoods at Henry Cowell state park, from the train depot. We had an amazing time.

We liked the quiet east-side location near pleasure point, and the deck looks out toward Sunny Cove. The complex has an interesting design and a ping-pong table, so it seems family friendly. Rooms were spacious and spotless, though a little sterile. The manager was friendly, but the person who checked us in was cold and businesslike. Breakfast was okay.

The little beach at the end of the street was great, and Twin Lakes Beach and two restaurants were an easy walk away. We were pleasantly surprised by the two-bedroom, which was the perfect size for our quick trip. The place has a great casual feel, and the on-site staff were friendly and responsive. Parking is pretty tight, so a full-size pickup would have trouble fitting. If we come back to Santa Cruz, we'll likely stay again.

The main house room was really cute, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved being able to fall asleep to the waves, with beach walks and Pleasure point close by. I had a great stay!
