A few steps from the beach, this hotel’s location is hard to beat. We booked a Luxury room for a special occasion so we’d have a beach facing room with a balcony, and it was worth the splurge. The balcony rooms all looked fine, though. Having coffee out there in the morning was perfect. Check the website to understand the room types and views. Our room was spotless, nicely furnished and decorated, and had a very comfortable bed. The outdoor shower was handy for rinsing off sand, and having a coffee shop in the hotel was a nice extra. We really enjoyed our stay. Just be aware that parking was $25 a night as of 2026. The lot is very tight, with only one car able to enter or leave at a time. Some of the front spots are “compact car only,” so you’ll want to be comfortable driving there and avoid bringing a supersized vehicle or trailer. Parking was easy for us, but that’s good to know.

The location is great and housekeeping was great too, but the front desk staff were terrible. I was visiting my handicapped 84 year old mom with my daughter, and she still couldn’t get proper access even though I was paying $25 a night for parking. There are two handicapped spots downstairs, but one was blocked off for the manager’s car. They said she was handicapped, though she had no placard. I can’t know, especially since staff lied to me several times, first saying she’d be there the next morning and then saying she’d be away for a few days. When we asked what was going on, one employee said, “I don’t know why you’re talking to me I just work here.” I was shocked by how indifferent they were to guest concerns. If I owned the place, that employee wouldn’t have a job. I asked for the parking fee to be refunded and was repeatedly misled about who I needed to speak to. With plenty of hotels nearby at similar prices, I’d make this my absolute last choice.

From the moment we arrived, check in felt like being welcomed by old friends. Katrina got us settled in easily. Our ocean front king room was clean, nicely done, and had everything we needed. The view took in the beach, ocean, and pier, and we even spotted the holiday train from the balcony. There was some street noise from the frontage road, but we expected that on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the rooftop deck as a place to relax outdoors. After checkout, they let us leave our luggage for a while so we could have lunch before heading out. We’d stay again. Thanks!

The rooftop terrace was a highlight. We sat up there with cocktails, listening to music and taking in the view. I loved the balcony too, and being able to open the window and slider to hear the ocean waves. Everything was spectacular from check in through checkout. Thank you, Marea Sol, and everyone who made the trip memorable. We’ll stay here again.

The room was clean and roomy, though its layout was a little odd, and getting to it felt like navigating a maze. The rooftop was just okay. The location is convenient, but the nearby road and foot traffic made it really noisy. Check-in and checkout were quick. For what it cost, I think La Bahia would have been better value.
