That Sunday farmers market is just a couple minutes away on foot, in the strip mall parking lot. The baked goods and local stuff were great, but it wraps up at 1 pm. We also grabbed shrimp burritos next door from the place that calls itself “the best burrito place in town.” I agree with them. Skip the convenience store across the street, though, it’s way overpriced. We stayed at Bella Notte Inn last year and liked its quiet, residential spot with easy beach access. It was cute and comfortable, but dated. Coming back this year was a big surprise. New owners and management have turned it into a stylish, modern place. Studio 2, the former lobby, now has bunk beds for kids. The TV was great, and we could sign in to our own Netflix account. The bathroom and rain shower were nice too. The kitchenettes used to be bare, with old appliances and Styrofoam cups. Now they’re stocked with new appliances, Nespresso machines and pods, a kettle, toaster, air fryer microwave, and proper glasses, plates, and bowls. Plenty for breakfast or an easy meal. There’s fresh paint, new floors and furniture, and the inn now accepts pets, which is great for our beach-loving dog. We enjoyed the easy self check-in, and we’re glad Bella Notte has a fresh new life.
