Super 8 Santa Fe

The front desk gentleman was friendly, worked hard, and got us checked in very quickly. The room, though, was filthy. There was hair in the bed, the floors were gross, stained, and broken, and the toilet handle didn’t work. The sheets had holes, and the pillows felt like rocks.

The shower had long hairs stuck to the sides and bottom, and there were four white pills and 22 cents on the bathroom counter. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. That came after a grim first impression: the hotel was run-down, and the desk clerk was rude and unwelcoming. Our room smelled, was dirty, needed paint, and had window casings that weren’t screwed to the wall. It should never have been rented. We’d been unsure about staying at a Super 8 Motel, but seeing it was affiliated with Wyndham made us feel comfortable. Now we’re extremely disappointed in Wyndham and won’t trust the company again. We used to enjoy your properties, but if this is the new standard, never again.

We’d stayed here once or twice a year for several years and usually enjoyed it, but we got hardly any sleep this time. Kids ran through the halls day and night, and others threw ice at people in the lobby. The front desk didn’t seem to care, and no one said anything to stop it. If guests are disturbing people, someone should step in and look after the loyal customers. We’ll find somewhere else on our next trip. Goodbye, Super 8. Never again!

The location is great, and the bathroom was much nicer than the ones at other Super 8s I’ve stayed in. Everything else was fine, except check-in took at least five minutes of waiting at the desk, the comforter had stains, and the pillows were awful.
