Rest Haven Motel

Kim made the stay especially easy. I’d spoken with her before we arrived, and she was friendly then too. She showed us the room and shared useful local tips when we checked in. The motel is older, but it was clean inside and out, and our room had a mini fridge and the basics we needed. There’s no microwave. We found the area quiet, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The 10 freeway is close, which helped us get around despite LA traffic. We stayed two nights. It’s not a luxury place, but it was clean and well located, which was enough for us. I’d happily stay again.

The location felt safe, and 7-Eleven and Walgreens were both about a two-minute walk away. The owner or manager was friendly and helpful, and the service was good. The rooms are on the small side and look a bit old. There wasn’t a microwave or electric kettle. Still, it’s a good deal if all you need is somewhere to sleep at night.

Kim was a joy to talk to, even though we didn’t meet until checkout, and check-in itself went smoothly. I liked having separate rooms for me and my guest. The bathroom was a little cramped, but we managed fine. It’s an older place, and the room has that older smell, so we used our own room spray. The place was clean, convenient, and cheaper than most hotels and motels nearby. I’ll stay here again when I’m in town.

The motel was spotless and clearly well cared for, with a great location within walking distance of the Santa Monica pier and beach. Kim, the owner, was very friendly and nice to us. My wife and I were visiting LA and California for the first time, and we loved our stay in Santa Monica. We’ll book here again next time we come to LA and Santa Monica.
