Shutters on the Beach

After finishing my ride on Route 66, I was glad Shutters was only a half-mile walk away. The front desk staff were sweet, and they let me use the spa showers when I needed to clean up before my husband arrived. The heated pool was great for the kids, and we could walk to the beach to wander and play in the morning before anyone else was out. Rooms were quiet and comfortable with everything we needed. There are lots of nearby food options, and the hotel restaurant also serves light appetizers and drinks in the lobby alongside its regular service. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Alex was a wonderful server and the food was delicious, which made the bar experience even more disappointing. We sat down around 1 p.m. while waiting for our table, but the bartender completely ignored us. Two other customers came up and got their orders taken and drinks made, and we still weren't acknowledged. After ten minutes of being badly neglected, our table was ready. Such a lousy bartender at a lovely place.

I'm staying in a suite right now, and it's fabulous. The views, ambience, and food all feel luxurious, and the front desk staff and everyone else around the hotel have been wonderful.

The front valet area is tiny, so I almost missed it, but inside it's pretty cozy. The employees more than made up for that with a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone seemed to care, from the valet to the people who walked me to where I needed to go. The management team has clearly helped create a high standard of service. In 2025, it's not easy to say that premium customer service still exists, but it does here.
