Best Western Garden Inn

My favorite part is the diner on site. In the morning you can step out of your room in pajamas and walk about 100 feet to eat. The menu is short, but the food is good and costs about half what Denny’s or IHOP charge. They take cash, or can put the bill on your room if you only have a debit or credit card. I usually pay cash so I can tip Rosie, the server. I've stayed here four separate times, and each visit has gone well. The rooms are clean, and the spa is a nice amenity. Claudia at the front desk is very sweet and works weekends. I think she may be the owner, though I'm not sure. A couple of times I asked for extra towels for my kids and she gave me as many as I needed without any fuss. For a Best Western, this one is better than 95% of them.

We had a good stay and would come back. My wife and I were in town for work for five days, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hot tub was closed for the first two days, then reopened and was wonderful. There's also a small breakfast place on site. You pay for it, but the price was fair and the food tasted good.

The one letdown was the jacuzzi. It was closed the whole time, which was disappointing since we picked this location for that amenity. We like using one in the evenings, especially in winter, and hope it gets fixed and stays open year round. Otherwise, we really enjoyed this Best Western during our holiday road trip. The Garden Inn grounds were pretty, and the location was excellent, with lots of food places and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was spotless, bright, recently touched up or renovated, and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of lamps for good lighting. All the staff were sweet and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Breakfast wasn't included, but the clean, cozy on-site café had affordable, delicious food and excellent service. It was easy to walk there from our room, and we went both mornings. The hotel is dog friendly, which was a big plus.

We had a hard time sleeping both nights. The walls are paper thin, and even though there were lots of empty rooms across the property, reception put a couple right next to us at 2 a.m. They were extremely loud. The front desk could have easily helped prevent that.
