Days Inn Santa Rosa

The room was unbelievably bad during my one-night stay. There was dirt everywhere, sand across the floor, and the sheets and comforter were dirty and smelled terrible. They didn't seem to have been properly washed. One of the worst experiences of my life. Don't stay here.

The guy who checked us in was nice, but the room was nasty, smelly, and had dirty towels. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'll spend $200-300 for a better place.

After a very long day, I booked a night here. I'd spent four hours trying to get someone unstuck from a muddy road with the wrong equipment. At check-in, I asked the gentleman at the desk if he knew where nearby I could buy recovery gear. About two minutes after I got to my room, there was a knock. It was that same gentleman, standing in the hallway with a heavy-duty tow strap. He offered it in case it helped with the recovery the next day. I wasn't able to get back and thank him in person, so I wanted to do it here. That was incredibly generous. The room was clean, too, and the price was great. Thank you so much!

Yikes. I'll start with what went well. The night staff member was super friendly and funny. We mentioned our service animal and had no issues. She told us when breakfast was served and where the vending machines were. The beds were decent to sleep in. That's about it. The room was gross, with stains all over the walls, ceiling, and sheets. The comforters didn't match and had burn marks. Shelves were loose or came off in my hands when I tried to use a wash rag. The TV turned on but wouldn't let me change anything. Its on-screen question was in Spanish, and there was no way to select an option to get rid of it. There was only one switch in the whole room, in the bathroom, and it only controlled the light, not the fan. To turn on the room lights, you had to use the switches on the lights themselves. The place looked run down and scary. This Rodeway Inn wasn't like the other one we've stayed at, and I wouldn't recommend this location. The room photos on Google or the Choice app don't match what you get in person, and the lobby doesn't have the seating shown in the pictures either.
