Oyo Hotel Santee Sc- Lake Marion

The water was hot and the pressure was good, but that was about the only decent part of my stay. My first room had bed bugs, and even after they moved me, I still felt uneasy. The air conditioner in the second room kept having trouble staying on. I used to stay here under the previous owners and management, and the place was always in top shape with nothing to complain about. The new management seemed nice, but the quality has gone downhill. I can’t recommend it.

A little dated, but exceptionally clean. The front desk and housekeeping staff were amazing and went out of their way to help. You can walk to several restaurants and stores from the motel.

We didn’t feel safe in the area, which we don’t know, and the room had only the regular lock on the door. The queen beds were definitely full size. It was nice to be able to check in very late, but the rest of the stay wasn’t good. If I’d known we’d need to bring our own cleaning supplies, I would’ve stayed somewhere else.

We stayed in a king room and found it really comfortable and cozy. Adam, the manager, was helpful and accommodating, and the staff were friendly, knew the area, and kept the rooms clean. There’s plenty close by within walking distance, including Food Lion, a CVS pharmacy, restaurants, and fast food. My husband and I love this motel and would recommend it to family, friends, and travelers coming through on I-95.
