Tiny House Siesta

The Starfish tiny home was cozy and comfortable, and it made our four days in Sarasota easy to enjoy. Publix and good places to eat were a short walk away, and getting to the beach was simple. There were lots of nearby bike rental spots, too. One of the best parts of the trip was riding along the shore for an hour and ending up with a beautiful sunset.

12/28/2025 This was our second visit in a month, and it went completely differently from the first. We paid 370$ and arrived at 3:40pm, only to find the unit full of ants. We didn’t notice until we got back from the mall at 8pm, then called and emailed management. The property manager first offered to move us to a unit they said was probably unbooked, but it looked unsafe to us, with a ladder on the wall. I said no, and they then moved us to a better one. It took an hour to unload and get organized, then another two hours waiting and talking with them, and an hour to pack up and move. Three hours wasted. There are better options around, and we chose this place only to find ants and have the problem handled the wrong way. My expectations are low now, even though we planned to stay in each house over the next six months. I have concerns, especially with the $50 cleaning fee. Not sure I’ll come back. 11/27/2025 I’d had more fun here than at any fancy hotel or resort. We booked three days, then extended the stay and asked for more time off work. The whole area was great, and the tiny house was unique. We booked again for Christmas and planned to stay in each tiny house over the next six months.

The blue tiny house was clean, and the location is AMAZING!! There’s a GREAT Mexican restaurant right next to it that serves DELICIOUS, fresh octopus!!!

We stayed in the Seashell, which was darling and really comfortable. Tiny House Siesta was a perfect place for us, with a 20-25 minute walk to the beach and lots of great restaurants within walking distance. I hope I can come back and try one of the other tiny houses.
