The Brunswick B&B at Saratoga

Meeting The Brunswick’s new owner was a highlight. He told us a little about his plans and asked what we’d like to see when we come back. We’d happily return and are looking forward to the upgrades he has in mind. We spent a lovely long weekend with friends at this sweet B&B. It has that comfortable “Grandmother’s house” feel, with quaint antiques. Dan, the pleasant innkeeper, made us a satisfying breakfast each morning and mentioned during one of our many chats that the place had come under new ownership in August. Great stay!

The room had plenty of space, and I especially liked having a sitting area where I could curl up with a book. Everything felt thoughtfully put together, and the stay was quiet and relaxing, just what I needed. Breakfast was very good, with a few choices. The chef checked everything carefully because of my nut allergy. I hope to come back and would recommend the Brunswick Bed and Breakfast to a friend. Five out of five.

Breakfast and the homemade baked goods were delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help with anything we asked. Our room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. The Brunswick is a beautiful Victorian right in the heart of Saratoga Springs. You can walk everywhere from there, especially easily to Governor's Park and the racetrack. We can’t wait to return.

The location was the biggest plus for us, about an easy 8-minute walk to downtown Saratoga Springs, with its shops, restaurants, and parks. The Brunswick isn’t a luxury hotel, but it offers good value if you set your expectations accordingly. We stayed one night while picking up our child from camp. Self-service check-in was unfamiliar and felt a little odd at first, though it all went smoothly. Our clean room and bathroom had what we needed. We especially enjoyed the porch balcony, a nice place to sit with a couple of cold drinks. The painted coffee table out there was peeling and weathered, an easy, inexpensive thing to replace, but it didn’t spoil the stay. There was a Keurig station with creamers and sweeteners available all day and night. Breakfast the next morning was complimentary, served promptly in a cozy dining room. My burrito and my wife’s avocado toast were both fresh and tasty.
